Newfoundland & Labrador, “North America’s best kept secret !”
Western Brook Beach
This unique and diverse province offers an abundance of attractions to suit all.
You will be amazed by our culture, friendly local people, history and character,
and that’s before your expedition even begins!
With a total landmass of over 405,700 square kilometers and roughly 17,000 kilometers of coastline, Newfoundland, and Labrador is three times the size of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island combined. So the biggest question you will face when you visit will be…
"Do I have time to see it all?"
Trout River Pond
Copper Mine trail was recently built by the International Appalachian Trail Newfoundland and Labrador sector. The trailhead is located on the left hand side of the highway which leads down to Lark Harbour. (Look for a large parking lot.)
The route leads through the forest to the Cape Lookout, there are various scenic lookout points on the trail where you can stop and take in the beautiful Bay of Islands.
The trail is steep in places, but can be done by the whole family if you take your time and wear good footwear.
